2025 EACPT Lifetime Achievement Award goes to Professor Munir Pirmohamed from the UK

EACPT is overjoyed to announce that this year, in Helsinki we honoured a career dedicated to improving patient care through pharmacology selecting as awardee professor Munir Pirmohamed.

Professor Sir Munir Pirmohamed is the David Weatherall Chair of Medicine and NHS Chair of Pharmacogenetics at the University of Liverpool. He is Director of the Centre for Drug Safety Science and the Wolfson Centre for Personalised Medicine, where he leads pioneering work in pharmacogenetics and personalised healthcare. As Director of HDR UK North, he drives the use of real-world data to enhance drug safety and effectiveness across health systems.

My research focuses on improving the use of medicines in patients — moving away from the one-drug-fits-all paradigm towards a more personalised approach that maximizes benefit, minimizes harm and improves outcomes.”, he states.
