Following consultations across Europe, a committee was formally established in 1993 under the chairmanship of Prof. Folke Sjöqvist.
The committee’s main objective was to prepare the first Congress of the European Association for Clinical Pharmacology and Therapeutics (EACPT), which would eventually take place in Paris in 1995.
This marked a decisive step in the creation of a European scientific community dedicated to promoting research, education and collaboration in Clinical Pharmacology and Therapeutics.
