Prof. Dr. Michiel van Agtmael, VU University Medical Center, Amsterdam is an internist with a specialty in infectious diseases and clinical pharmacology. He is a professor in Clinical pharmacology and Pharmacotherapy education. He works halftime as a clinician and halftime as a researcher renewing and improving pharmacotherapy education. His research focuses on new educational concepts such as student-led education, learner centered student-run clinics, learning in a team (inter-professional, near-pear teaching).He has a special interest in the field of antimicrobial stewardship and PK-PD. His mission is to improve prescribing by improving pharmacotherapy education.
